Sarah Chung is a research technician in the Ort Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She works on research projects that investigate the role of Rubisco activase (Rca) in photosynthesis and stress response of C4 plants. Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in integrative biology from the University of Illinois. In the future, she hopes to conduct her own research that can promote environmental literacy and advocate for environmental sustainability.

The Ort Lab is supported by many public and private partnerships, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, the UK Government's Department for International Development, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy.
