Jooyeon Jeong

Research Project: Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency

Jooyeon Jeong is a postdoctoral researcher who is interested in engineering crops to improve photosynthetic efficiency and yield. In the Ort Lab, she is working on the RIPE project to introduce and evaluate synthetic photorespiratory bypasses in the chloroplast. Jooyeon earned a bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctorate in life sciences at Hanyang University in South Korea. Her work is published in the Journal of Experimental Botany, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA)-Bioenergetics, and Scientific Reports.
