Lynn Doran is a research technician at the University of Illinois in the Long Lab. Her research forcuses on translating findings from RIPE research into crops to increase food production. For the RIPE project, Lynn will be performing molecular phenotyping of transgenic plants, which involves verifying the presence of transgenes and assessing the levels of their products during greenhouse and field experiments. Lynn received her bachelor's degrees in animal science at Colorado State University. 

The LongLab is supported by many public and private partnerships, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, the UK Government's Department for International Development, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy.
