Iyke Nnaji, a graduate student in Long Lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, focuses his research on improving the relaxation of photoprotection in Elite African Soybean varieties. Moreover, Nnaji will also be channeling the success of improved photosynthesis towards African soybean cultivars. Iyke Nnaji has earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Benin, Nigeria, a master’s degree in plant pathology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and is working toward a doctorate in plant physiology from Illinois.
