Research:          

Bishal's research focuses on optimizing canopies, more specifically improving soybean yield by manipulating canopy architecture. He contributes towards the RIPE project (Realizing Increased Photosynthetic Efficiency), in which he investigates the role of novel genes in soybean leaf architecture and surveys the structure and function of a special cell-type in soybean leaves in relation to yield
